The Pediatric Pulse - News for our Medical Staff
December 2017
Seasonal flu visitor policy is now in effect
Visitation to inpatient units is limited to those 12 years and older who do not have cold or flu symptoms. Additionally, the number of visitors in a room will be limited to four. The policy provides attendings and unit nurse managers discretion for accommodating extenuating circumstances. Critical care units may add further restrictions if needed. Call Infection Control with questions at 330-543-5203. During flu season, we will continue our efforts to vaccinate eligible inpatients. Learn more about our progress.
From the Medical Staff President
In this month’s letter to the medical staff, Dr. Laura Pollauf discusses Bill Considine’s book on leadership, the Joint Commission visit regarding conditional findings and urges our medical staff to reach out to members of Congress to ensure CHIP is extended. She also welcomes back Dr. Robert McGregor after a seven-week leadership course at Harvard Business School and encourages everyone to participate in our Epic survey. Read more
