| Work begins on 1,200-space parking deck |
Akron Children’s recently broke ground on a $20 million, six-level parking deck. The deck, will be located on the southwest corner of Exchange and Locust streets and will serve patient families, visitors and hospital staff. With approximately 1,200 parking spaces, the deck is expected to open in September 2013. Learn more |
| Pedaling towards a goal |
A team of eight cyclists recently traveled by bike from Oceanside, Calif. to Annapolis, Md. as part of Race Across America. The relay team hoped to raise $100,000 for Akron Children's during its week-long trek that spanned 3,000 miles and 12 states. Learn why they're giving back |

Morgan Maclean, a teen who loves basketball and golf, had bouts of supraventricular tachycardia, a rapid heart rate that involved the upper and lower chambers of the heart, keeping her from an active life. | Wind chimes create new sound |
| When Akron Children’s Garden of Hope and Healing’s co-chairs, Marianne Sanders and Joyce Hamaker wanted something to distract from the sounds of Exchange Street, they enlisted the help of students from Miller South School for the Visual and Performing Arts.
