| Garden of Hope dedicated at Beeghly Campus |
 Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley recently dedicated the Children’s “Garden of Hope” on the hospital’s Beeghly campus in Boardman. To date, 80 donors have contributed more than $74,000 towards the project, which provides patients and families with a quiet place for reflection. Learn more

| Akron Children’s orthopedic research recognized |
 A team from Akron Children’s, including Dennis Weiner, MD, chairman of the department of orthopedics, received a first place award at the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America’s recent annual meeting for an e-poster presentation about the surgical management of children and teens with Ellis-Van Creveld Syndrome, a form of skeletal dysplasia.
